The company is led by an exceptional founding team with deep expertise in infrastructure. Co-founders Nikola Borisov, Yessenzhar Kanapin, and Georgios Papoutsis have been winning international coding and math competitions for years. The team met while building the backend infrastructure for imo—over 200 million monthly active users and 1 billion downloads—one of the largest messaging platforms outside of WhatsApp. Their technical prowess is matched by clear opinions for how AI infrastructure should evolve to meet the needs of tomorrow's applications.

We were immediately drawn to Deep Infra's mission to make advanced AI accessible to developers everywhere. We participated in their initial seed round of funding in 2022, and today we’re honored to be co-leading their Series A. In these two years of working together, we’ve been struck by Deep Infra’s shrewd understanding of the market and their ability to build such an advanced platform with a small team. And their growth has been explosive—from millions of tokens daily two years ago to over tens of billions tokens daily today, representing more than 8,000x growth.
