Q&A

How has your upbringing shaped your worldview?

I grew up in Turkey in an entrepreneurial family where weekends blended into weekdays and business was part of everyday life. Watching my family build and repair things taught me early on that success takes grit and curiosity. That same curiosity eventually took me to MIT — a dream come true — where I found my people: builders and thinkers driven to create impact at scale. I worked on everything from electric vehicles to consumer electronics, learned from both successes and failures, and even came close to launching my own startup. I have immense amount of respect for founders who make the jump and am grateful to have this job where I can help them.

What’s one way you’ve worked with founders?

I see myself as an extension of the their team. Whether it’s jumping in to help close a customer, sharing a competitive insight, or making an important introduction, I’m all in. I’ve helped portfolio founders land key hires and connect with customers and partners at pivotal moments.

What do you think will be true about the world in 2030?

I can’t wait for the day I’m standing in the long line at Bread and Crumble next to a robot, both of us patiently waiting for croissants

What’s an accomplishment you’re proud of?

Reaching my personal best in my third half marathon felt incredibly rewarding. It’s powerful to look back and see how consistent effort and time truly compound into progress.

How do you recharge or find balance?

Squeezing in a quick run, playing tennis outdoors, and catching up with friends on a three-way FaceTime during my commute.
